Xavier and I were recently invited to join in a cozy autumn morning at the Ella + Elliot  showroom and boutique for their Stokke event to showcase some upcoming products. Ella + Elliot is home to high quality baby products, and they pride themselves on offering the biggest selection of modern-designed products and accessories for babies and kids.

The event included mimosas, a custom floral bouquet bar, a delectable breakfast and a beautiful Stokke gift bag with cozy autumn essentials. It was the perfect fall morning.

Xavier and I were greeted at Ella + Elliot by the Macchina Mobile Café (a transformed Vespa serving espresso), where I enjoyed a delicious maple-infused latte. It was such a great pick-me-up on a morning I truly needed it.

Upon entering the elegant boutique, Xavier and I noticed the gorgeous flower bar on display by the Toronto Flower Market, where we were able to build our own bouquet, or select one of the beautifully arranged ones. This was followed by delectable waffles by Wafel Bar. I haven’t had authentic Belgian waffles that tasted as good as these since the last time my husband Ian and I visited Belgium. I had a “cookie” spread on my waffle, which had a based of gingerbread cookies and I have been dreaming about it ever since.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Stokke, it is a company offering high-end, high-quality baby products and accessories sold worldwide. The Scandinavian brand’s upcoming launch and limited edition products were on display for all of us mamas and mamas-to-be to check out, and the line did not disappoint.

The morning was filled with photo-ops, adorable children running around, and bottomless beverages. It was great to see all of the new products Stokke is offering and to make a list of what Xavier will need next.

Before leaving, we were presented with a stylish Stokke changing bag, which we ended up using on our recent trip to Mexico. Ian and I found it extremely functional. It’s got a ton of pockets and compartments, and a separate slot on the outside of the bag for the changing mat that doesn’t take up room! It also includes a waterproof side pocket and detachable changing purse that snaps easily inside. My favorite feature, you ask? The Stokke changing bag is both a shoulder bag and convertible backpack with adjustable straps. Having a diaper bag that is also a backpack is one thing I wish someone had recommended to me before I had Xavier, as I end up using my own backpack a lot of the time.  You can buy the changing bag here.

The changing bag was filled with goodies that are must-have’s for the fall, including products from Wean Green (eco-friendly tempered glass containers), the P.F. Candle Company (invigorating room spray), Glitter in Spice (modern teething jewelry), and Le Feu De L’Eau (Sculpted ‘fantasy candles’ inspired by the 1960’s version).
